Peer Review Process

Double-blind review procedure

International Journal of Persian Culture and Civilization is double blind peer reviewed quarterly journal. Articles will be sent to at least three reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise within the topic area of the submission, and their purpose is to assist the authors and the journal by providing a critical review of the manuscript. After receiving the reviewers’ comments, authors are requested to send the revised article, and a copy of their reply to the reviewers including the comment and explaining the replies to the questions and the changes made to the revised version. The communication regarding a specific manuscript will be done only between the journal and the designated corresponding author.

First step of review process is Screening of a manuscript. "Screening" can be done by either publisher or editor-in-chief. In the screening, article will be checked based on the journal policy and from general aspects including:

  • Article standards

Research Articles also are called “Original Articles”, which are considered as the common types of articles. The content of the paper must justify its length. For the original research, traditional sections are required including: Title, Keywords, Addresses and corresponding author's address, the Structured Abstract, Background, Objectives (optional), Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Acknowledgements. The legends are required to illustrate Figures and Tables.
  • References

It is important to use the same style, punctuation and order of the details throughout your paper.

  • English Writing

  • File Checking (Manuscript Files, Title Page, Other files)

  • Similarity Rate

  • Word Count

If all of the above items were OK, manuscript will be sent to next state and indeed it is entered to the review process. Otherwise it will be sent back to author for more corrections and the author has to resubmit it after correcting the errors.
